Bosch 300 Series SHX43R55UC Fully Integrated Dishwasher, 14-Place Settings, Stainless Steel Reviews

Unbelievable. This new Bosch model is a lower end model, but I didn't want all the bells and whistles (and cost) of the higher end ones. It does what you need it to, and so superbly, that you realize that the bells and whistles are really superfluous. It is quiet, every single dish is clean beyond belief (and smooth! no more grit! it took the KitchenAid grit off!!), it was easy to install, and it holds so many more dishes than the KitchenAid did with its bigger racks! The racks in the Bosch are better designed so they actually hold more dishes, spacing them closer to each other. This is a great dishwasher and I'm just kicking myself for not buying it years ago. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Exscotticus (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Bosch 300 Series SHX43R55UC Fully Integrated Dishwasher, 14-Place Settings, Stainless Steel Two years after purchasing Bosch's "stainless" steel "rust-free" dishwasher with a "lifetime warranty" against rust, we discovered... rust. It was in a very specific area, where the metal filter attaches to the interior tub. We called Bosch and were told that it was our fault, that it was our water, our dishwasher soap, our flatware--anything but the dishwasher. We persisted, explaining that we use a water softener and a reverse-osmosis system and that our water is no worse, and probably a bit better, than average. Furthermore, if it was merely our water, then we would expect to see rust everywhere. As for our dishwasher soap--well--it comes from Costco, and I'm sure they'd take exception to Bosch's claim that it promotes rust. We offered our own theory, which is that the metal used in the filter is disimilar to the metal in the tub, resulting in a galvanic reaction and corrosion to the metals. Basically, the two different metals, pressed together in an aqueous environment, results in... Read the reviews and bought a Bosch. The best applliance we have ever had. First it is very quiet, can hardly know it is running. The dishes come out dry, sparkling. Have used it for a month now, everything has been perfect. Very well made in all respects, a real jewel. |
