Many reviews out there simply comment on the beauty of having a dishwasher vs. not having one. Any model is certainly better than none, but having burned through a couple models, I hope to help those who are unsure of which one to get.My previous models were both Danby models. The first was a very simple dial-operated model that lasted four years. For a total out-of-pocket expense of $150, I couldn't complain about a 4 year life. The whole time it worked well (until the sprayer arm stopped), so we went with Danby's updated version of the same model for our next one. This one never worked well, lasted half as long and cost twice as much. We were ready for better quality and didn't want to go with Danby again. It was easy to set up, and simple to handle. It fit perfectly where we intended to have the unit. But the unit failed to work on the first run.An error message appeared immediately, and we then turned to contact Customer Support for Technical Support. There was very little information that was sent with the unit, and the Operators Manual listed no contact numbers for Support. The ONLY number that was supplied was on the Warranty Sheet, and when i called for assistance, i was informed that this number is for Service Tech's. They did, however, give me another number to call. I have since called 3 times, and left voice messages for a response from Minea, but after 7 days there has been no response. It does a pretty good job.Pros *It came with the necessary faucet connection. *Setup was easy, but it was heavy and needed two people lifting it up to the counter. *It is quiet and doesn't interfere with watching TV in the next room, which is about ten feet away. Cons *There can't be any dried-on food because it doesn't come completely off even when using the longest cycle -- which is about 2 hours long -- so dishes need to be rinsed first. (I didn't need to rinse with previous built-in dishwashers.) *I've had to use the longest cycle for all loads because dishes did not come clean on the shorter cycles. *There is no indicator to tell how far into any of the washing or rinsing cycles it is, so you have to guess when it will finish. *There is a residue from the soap left on the door and bottom of the washer after each wash, but there doesn't seem to be any soap...
