| 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  GE model GLC5604 is not really a portable, By This review is from: GE 24" White Portable Dishwasher I'm a retired engineer and throughly researched a replacement for our rusting Maytag portable unit. It is very difficult to find a store that stocks a portable to actually see. This GE was to me the best portable I could find per the specs, pictures and comparable built-in unit examinations. I bought it. The 1st unit delivered was sent back because it had loose cabinet side panels and the hose was jammed inside. The replacement unit washes very well and very quiet. However, it lacks any kind of gripping feature for moving it. My wife can't move it at all. The receptacle in back to stow the hose end is too small and has no way to insert the end so that the washer can be set back in place flush up to the wall. The protruding hose keeps it several inches away and will eventually cause the hose and wall damages. After several contacts with them, the GE customer service offers no fix and tells me that any modifications I make will void the whole warranty. Other portables are noisy and have... Read more |
