Needed to replace the horrid Bosch dishwasher the previous owners had. I don't plan on staying in this home for more than 3 more years, so I didn't want to buy a product that cost more than $500 - but I needed stainless steel. I also needed to buy a 34" height dishwasher - NOT 35" height! (common in older homes but a huge factor since there are a lot less to choose from when you take the height into consideration). In my last home I had a whirlpool (for almost 6 yrs) and LOVED it. Maytag is made by Whirlpool (and Whirlpool only makes 35" height machines) so I was automatically drawn to Maytag. I have had the Maytag for 2 weeks. Here is what I've found...1) Price is right. It's not expensive because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. I can have it going and talk on the phone or watch TV without beng distracted. I bought the least expensive unit, great value. The machine had a piece of plastic in the disposal when first installed Maytag sent out a repairman right away at no charge to me.
